Max Tiel is a musician and music producer with a heart for innovation and technology. Before founding Thunderboom Records, Max has years of experience working in IT consultancy.

ABOUT THE SONG

Fountain by TWY is a human-computer co-production. The lyrics, melodies and singing voice are all computer-generated and produced by a 100% human.

ABOUT THE HUMAN-AI CO-CREATION PROCESS

Step 1: different melodies were generated by an AI tool called ‘Google Magenta’.

Step 2: a human producer used a digital audio workspace called ‘Ableton Live’ to put the different generative melodies together into one musical composition.

Step 3: the human producer added various synthesizers to enrich the composition.

Step 4: lyrics were generated by an AI tool called https://theselyricsdonotexist.com/.

Step 5: the lyrics were sung by a synthetic voice called ‘Vocaloid’.

Step 6: the human producer adjusted the lyrics and voice-settings to make everything fit together.
